Russ Zokaites is a bass trombonist who has performed internationally. As a guest clinician he has given recitals and classes at several universities and conservatories throughout the United States including, the Manhattan School of Music, New York University, and James Madison University among others. Zokaites was selected as a fellow for the 2013 Alessi Seminar hosted by Joe Alessi, the Principal Trombonist of the New York Philharmonic.
Zokaites is a Lätzsch Custom Brass performing artist and performs exclusively on Lätzsch tenor and bass trombones.
Zokaites has performed with the Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester, Dayton Philharmonic, the Nederlands Symfonie Orkest, alongside the American Brass Quintet and live on Netherlands Radio 4. His solo debut was with the Rocky Mountain Brassworks Brass Band in Denver, Colorado. Throughout his career he has worked with orchestral conductors Robert Spano and Emmanuel Krivine, and worked with soloists including Julia Fischer, Marvin Hammlisch and Håkan Hardenberger.
